Detection of Toxoplasma in Serum

Hello Parasitologists,
Here are the steps to detect the anti Toxoplasma antibodies
in serum samples.
- · Collect blood samples (3-5 ml) in vacuum tubes using disposable syringe from jugular vein of animals.
- · Let the blood coagulate for 1 hour.
- · Carry out the centrifugation 3000 rpm for 10 minutes
- · Decant the serum from each test tube in a clean serum cup.
- Examine the antibodies in serum samples by using Latex Reagent according to manual/literature provided by the manufactures.
